Vishwanath M S, also known as Visu, is a seasoned engineering leader with over 14 years of experience delivering impactful solutions. He is a multi-linguist and technology-driven evangelist who is passionate about delivering super cool products of very high standards and best code practices. His key advantage and strength lie in coding, and he is currently looking at architecting systems to scale and building products that are a delight to use. Visu has extensive experience in solving complex problems and business solutions in web and mobile applications development that provides a rich user experience and optimized data transfer between the client and server. He has worn many hats in his career, including lecturer, programmer, designer, tester, DB guy, leader, and interesting speaker. As a result, he has earned the ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects, troubleshoot performance issues, and pilot complex challenges. Visu is currently the Director and Head of Engineering - Consumer Storefront at Furlenco, where he is building high-performing teams. Previously, he worked as the Head of Engineering - Labs, Pharmacy, Provider Integrations, New Initiatives at Medibuddy, where he led many key initiatives and launched new services in the platform. He also served as the Senior Engineering Manager - Consumer Health Business at Medibuddy, where he was responsible for the quality of the products, from code architecture to end-user quality and experience. Visu holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Visvesvaraya Technological University. He has a wide range of technical skills, including JavaScript, design patterns, systems design, distributed systems, microservices architecture, data modeling, progressive web applications, component-based architecture, Git, Amazon Web Services, Firebase, ELK stack, SQL/MySQL/Postgres, Redshift, Redis, MongoDB, CleverTap, Branch, and more. Visu is passionate about working on ideas that change existing landscapes and has a keen interest in AI, machine learning, IoT products, data visualization, and tracking developments in the wearable and smartphone space. He is a force multiplier who makes things happen as a team and is excited to build teams where people work together to build the best products they've imagined.
